When I first hear the term justice I automatically think of fairness, to be treated with fairness. In The Fault In Our Stars examples of injustice are present throughout the novel. The protagonist of this novel, Hazel, is given a pretty unfair life in general, she has cancer. Being a teenager and having to totally change your life to battle cancer is pretty unfair. "That was the worst part about having cancer, sometimes : The physical evidence of disease separates you from other people" (Green, The Fault In Our Stars 144). This quote shows that Hazel realizes that cancer is unfair, it makes her stand out. This theme of being treated without justice shows me how much cancer is unfair and how much it takes over your life in a negative way.
